Lelit PL 42 TEMD – portafilter machine with built-in grinder and PID
Add beans, grind, tamp, brew – all on one device on the counter. The Lelit PL 42 TEMD combines espresso machine and grinder and makes the path from bean to cup pleasantly short. The illuminated pressure gauge shows you the brew pressure in real time.
Its electronic PID temperature control keeps the brew temperature close to the target value, and the 38 mm conical burr grinder grinds fresh into the portafilter with stepless adjustment. Espresso is complex, but it is not rocket science – the coffee has to taste good to you. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it is for
For anyone who wants machine and grinder in one device and has little counter space. A scale helps you hit your ratio (1:2 as a starting point) – take a look at the barista scales. For clean tamping and puck prep, the barista equipment is worth a look.

Yes. It has a built-in, stepless-adjustable 38 mm conical burr grinder and a built-in tamper – grinding and tamping happen right on the machine.
How long does it take to heat up?
Around 3 to 5 minutes. The brew temperature is kept stable by electronic PID control.
Can I see the Lelit PL 42 TEMD before buying it?
That depends on whether the Lelit PL 42 TEMD is on display right now. Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – it is too large for that, and the display changes.
