MHW-3BOMBER Gravity Leveler – Gravity Distributor with Cyclone Base
You place the tool on the portafilter and let go – it sinks down under its own weight while the base rotates and spreads the grounds in a gentle swirl. No pressing too hard, no tilting: gravity does the work, and the bed sits level.
A distributor that levels the grounds evenly through its weight alone.
How the Gravity Leveler works
Instead of applying pressure by hand, this tool uses gravity: it lowers itself, and the cyclone base spreads the grounds like a small swirl – more evenly than the classic four-blade distributors. This creates a level bed without you pressing too hard and unintentionally compacting it already.
The base adapts to the amount of grounds, so distribution stays even no matter how full the basket is. Bearings inside keep the rotation smooth and quick. The ring between the lid and the base lets you set the height, and with it the distribution depth. Espresso is a craft, not a law. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it's for
For anyone who wants to level their grounds evenly without compacting them in the process. The gravity mechanism makes the motion calm and repeatable – especially for anyone who values a consistent result.
What it pairs with
A distributor works together with a tamper and WDT tool. You'll find tampers, WDT tools and Puck Screens affordable in the Normcore Collection and especially finely crafted in the Weber Workshops Collection; more tools are in our Tamper Collection.
And because an even bed only pays off with the right machine, it's worth a look at our espresso machines – supported by our advisor tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does gravity distributor mean?
The tool doesn't actively compact – it lowers under its own weight and distributes the grounds evenly as it does. This keeps you from pressing too hard before you actually tamp.
What does the cyclone base do?
It spreads the grounds in a gentle swirl instead of with rigid blades – giving you a more even, level surface.
Can I adjust the depth?
Yes. The ring between the lid and the base lets you set the height and determine how deep the distribution goes.
Can I see the tool in person before buying?
Very much so. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) you can experience it live. Online, we deliver in 2–4 business days, across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.
Tip from our roastery
A level, even distribution really shows with rich-bodied, sweet roasts. Our Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight taste round and forgive a lot. For maximum body without any acidity, the Very Nutty, for a fruity experience, the Wild Peach. That's our recommendation – one of many.
