Unifilter - World's first unibody portafilter
We rebuilt the portafilter from a single piece of stainless steel to achieve optimal extraction geometry. No more removable basket, unprecedented extraction geometry, improved thermal stability; a huge step forward for espresso. Use it, rinse it, wipe it down, with no further routine maintenance for better tasting espresso with higher extraction yield.
Materials
The Unifilter is made from a solid piece of forged, machined and hand polished 304 stainless steel. All holes are individually laser cut and extend to the vertical wall edge, creating a true 58.5mm puck from top to bottom. Made for shots from 18g to 22g (and more or less if using or omitting the puck screen), but 20g on a medium roast is a good estimate of dose size.
All handles have a solid stainless steel core, giving them weight and durability, which is then encased in either a thick FKM rubber sleeve or a hollowed out piece of solid teak that has been sanded and treated with a German VOC-free oil.
Included in the package
1 Unifilter, with either FKM rubber or teak handle.
1 pack of 100 EPFs (espresso paper filters) to try out.
1 Puck Saver
compatibility
Fits standard 58mm portafilter groups with exposed group
(La Marzocco, Slayer, Synesso, Kees VanDer Westen, E61 brew head, etc.)
Does not fit Decent and Flair 58 machines. Customers looking for these should opt for the BUCK along with the Unibasket.
Victoria Arduino & La Marzocco (Micra and newer Mini) Compatibility Note: The Unifilter is compatible with VA machines, but snaps into place significantly to the right of center.
