Thanks to a wide coffee basket and ultra-fine grounds, it aims for an extraction like the one you know from a lever espresso machine: rich, balanced, with a full crema. For everyone who values a dense, café-style espresso even on the go and is willing to play with the grind size. For a nice result we recommend fresh beans – dialling in is part of the process. Frequently asked questions
How fine do I need to grind for the Picopresso?
It is designed for ultra-fine coffee grounds. Pre-ground commercial coffee is less suitable – for a nice espresso with crema we recommend freshly ground beans. Dialling in, i.e. adjusting the grind size, is part of the process.
Does the Picopresso need electricity?
No. It works purely by hand, entirely without batteries or electricity, and uses a bottomless portafilter with a 52 mm stainless steel filter basket.
