The Bean Feeder has two independently adjustable feed openings. With them, you match the feed rate to the size of the beans and to your preferences – a small but effective lever when grinding.

What the Bean Feeder does
With the two openings you control how quickly the beans slide down into the burrs. With very light, hard roasts, a lower feed rate also reduces the load on the motor. Made from the same food-safe, anti-static black ABS blend as the Weber wipers; the surfaces are easy to wipe clean.

Which grinders it fits
The Bean Feeder fits all first-generation KEY grinders and the HG-2. You don't need it for the KEY Mk 2, as the function is already built in there. It copes with all common bean varieties, from Mokka to Pacamara.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the Bean Feeder for my KEY Mk 2?
No. On the KEY Mk 2 the function is already built in. The feeder is for the first KEY generation and the HG-2.
How do I set the feed?
You fit the outer and inner rings, set the openings and check the grind. Fine-tune if needed until it's right.
Does it work with light roasts?
Yes. With very light, hard beans, a reduced feed is actually gentler on the motor.
Roastery tip
Find your setting step by step: make the openings smaller, grind a dose, watch the grind and how the grinder runs. Especially with light roasts, the grinder runs more smoothly this way. That's our recommendation, one of many.
