Weber Workshops Bean Cellar – single dosing set of 12 in teak
You weigh out your portion, pour it into the jar, press the cap on – and the coffee stays fresh until you grind it. Instead of a bag being opened and closed every morning, each bean only comes into contact with air twice: when filling and when grinding.
The Bean Cellar system stores individual doses in jars with a one-way valve; depending on bean size and roast, each jar holds around 18 to 22 g. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Weber Workshops.
What sets the Bean Cellar apart
Materials
Thick-walled borosilicate glass tubes, machined and anodised aluminium caps, a solid brass handle and a stainless steel funnel: Weber designed every part for quality and longevity. The caddy of this set is made of solid teak.
Proprietary one-way valve
Freshly roasted beans release CO2. The one-way valve in the cap lets this gas escape, and in doing so the CO2 pushes the lighter oxygen out through the valve at the top. This keeps the beans fresh for longer than in a bag that is opened again and again.
Made for single dosing
Weber Workshops is one of the pioneers of single dose grinders and looked early on for a way to store beans individually and keep them at hand. The Bean Cellar Glass has been around for more than ten years; it is Weber’s longest-available accessory and is used in kitchens and cafés worldwide.

Light and storage
Daylight in the room is not a problem, as long as the jars aren’t standing in direct sun. The biggest loss of freshness comes anyway from opening and closing a container again and again, not from ambient light.
What goes with it
The single dosing principle comes into its own with a single dose grinder. For anyone who wants it compact and precise: the grinders from Varia. If you want a grinder from the same house: Weber Workshops, where you will also find the single dosing funnel. More models are in our coffee grinders and the advice tool.
For weighing your dose: compact and precise with a scale from Normcore, with app and flow rate display from Acaia. You’ll find fresh beans in our coffee bean selection.

Frequently asked questions
How much coffee fits in one jar of the Weber Bean Cellar?
Depending on bean size and roast, around 18 to 22 g – in other words, a typical espresso dose.
How does the Bean Cellar’s one-way valve work?
It lets the CO2 from freshly roasted beans escape, and the CO2 pushes the oxygen out of the jar. That keeps the coffee fresh for longer.
Does light harm the beans in the jar?
Not in normal room light. Just avoid direct sun.
Can I buy spare jars later?
Yes, spare jars are available separately in the Weber Workshops collection.
Where can I buy the Weber Bean Cellar set in Switzerland?
At Coffee Coaching Club, the official Swiss importer of Weber Workshops. Online or in the showrooms in Bern and Zurich.
Roastery tip: Freshly roasted coffee degasses most strongly in the first few days – the one-way valve lets exactly this CO2 escape without letting fresh oxygen in. Ideally, fill the jars with whole beans and only grind right before brewing; ground coffee loses its aroma many times faster. Good options for the jars are Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. That’s our recommendation, one of many.
