Paddle group rebuild kit GS3 MP – the group back the way it was on day one
The paddle on the GS3 MP isn't a switch but a valve that you open by hand. That's why it feels so precise at first: firm resistance, smooth travel, a clear point at which the shot starts. And that's also why you notice every millimetre of wear.
At some point the lever gets lighter, the starting point shifts, and the group head keeps dripping for a while after the shot. Tightening won't help any more; the group needs an overhaul. That's exactly what this kit is for: the old version of the paddle group, part number SA600.01.K.

Dripping from the group head after the paddle has been closed again. A lever that feels light and spongy instead of firm. A starting point that is no longer where it used to be. Water escaping from the side of the group. A pressure profile that is no longer reproducible during the pre-infusion phase. And in general: when the group has been in daily use for many years and has never been overhauled.

Important for installation
The paddle group sits in the brew circuit and carries hot water under pump pressure. Before working on it, the machine is disconnected from the mains, cooled down and depressurised. We deliberately don't provide step-by-step instructions: an incorrectly assembled paddle group doesn't just drip, it can also distort the pressure profile. This is a job for a professional – we're happy to take a look at it in Bern or Zurich.

For owners of an older GS3 MP whose group no longer closes cleanly after years of use, and for workshops that want to carry out an overhaul in one go instead of ordering individual gaskets one after another.
What goes with it
The same group contains the GS3 MP paddle group head valve, the conical shaft, the pin 5 × 23 mm and the spacer for the paddle group. The lever itself is the GS3 MP paddle. Everything else under GS3 spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: before dismantling, we film the group with a phone, slowly all the way round. When reassembling, the video is worth more than any sketch, especially with an old version for which you don't have an exploded view to hand every day. Our first shot afterwards is with Nutty Delight, because the nuttiness lets you notice and taste straight away whether the pressure profile is right again.
