The trim in front of the drip tray – the band that finishes off the bottom of the Micra
Below the drip tray grid, a narrow, visible band runs around the drip tray. That is this trim. It carries no water and catches nothing – it gives the Micra a clean edge at the bottom, and it sits exactly at the height where the cup is set down.
That is why it takes so many knocks. Cup rims brush over it, the grid is dragged across it when emptying, and when wiping, the cloth passes over the same spot every day. On matte black, this leaves shiny streaks and fine scratches over time that can no longer be cleaned off.
When it's time to replace it
Replace the trim if it is scratched over a large area or shows shiny rub marks. If the coating has chipped off along an edge. If it has warped and no longer sits flush against the tray. If a locking tab or fixing has broken. And also if you want to unify the colours of your Micra and the bottom is still in a different shade.

Who it's for
For anyone with a black Micra that is starting to show its age around the bottom, even though the machine is otherwise in great shape. It is one of the parts with the biggest visual impact per franc.
The drip trays of the Linea Micra and Mini R
We carry eight items around the drip tray of the Linea Micra and Linea Mini R: four complete trays for the Micra, one for the Mini R and three individual parts that sit on or against the tray. Which of them belongs to your machine depends on the series – and, for the Micra, also on the finish.
Complete drip trays Linea Micra. Stainless steel, SA008, Black, SA008.60, White, SA008.62 and Light blue, SA008.63. All four share the base number SA008 and differ in finish.
Linea Mini R. Light grey, SA727.71. Its own series, its own number, its own price – a Micra tray does not fit there.
Individual parts around the tray. Drip tray grid Linea Micra, C.1.654.01, Drip tray trim Linea Micra matte black, C.1.656.60 – i.e. this product – and Drip plate Linea Mini R, C.1.756.01. They are sold individually and are not automatically part of a complete tray.

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement: when emptying the drip tray, we always lift the grid off instead of dragging it over the edge. Sounds like half a second of extra effort, but it is the difference between a trim that is still matte and even after five years, and one with a bare, shiny streak right across the front. Once everything at the bottom looks fresh again, we pull the first shot – on the Micra we like to use the Nutty Delight, for something more chocolatey the Cozy Chocolate, for something stronger the Very Nutty. Everything under Coffee beans.
Exchange and return excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or just drop us a line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Is this the whole drip tray?
No. This is the externally visible trim with the number C.1.656.60. The complete tray is a separate product and is linked above.
Is the drip tray grid included?
No. The grid is a separate item.
Is the trim also available in other colours?
This item is the matte black finish. We're happy to check whether your preferred colour is available – just drop us a line.
Can I replace it myself?
It is an external part. Switch the machine off beforehand, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down; the drip tray is removed for this.
