A new skin for the Linea Mini R
The chrome-plated housing is the outer shell of the Linea Mini R. It holds no lines and carries no pressure, but it determines how the machine looks in the kitchen – and with the Mini R, that is exactly a big part of what you chose it for.
Damage to the housing is therefore more annoying than it is technical. A dent from moving house, a deep scratch, blistering under the chrome layer after years next to the sink: none of it affects the espresso, but you see it every morning. This replacement housing is the clean solution. Part number C.1.752.
When it is due
- Dents or dings after transport or a fall.

Important for installation
To replace the housing, the machine is largely dismantled. Underneath are the boiler, the lines and the entire electrical system. Disconnect the machine from the mains, let it cool down completely, depressurise it and drain it. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here: in the end, everything has to be sealed tight again and correctly wired. This is a job for a workshop.
Who it is for
For everyone who wants to restore their Mini R to its original condition after damage, and for dealers who refurbish a machine before reselling it.
What goes with it
From our workshop
Before reassembly, in Bern and Zurich we lay out all the screws sorted by position – a housing replacement involves a surprising number of them, and one in the wrong place leaves a mark in fresh chrome that stays. The test shot afterwards is pulled with Very Nutty. Our routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the appliance. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Are any technical components included with the housing?
No. Only the chrome-plated outer shell is supplied.
Does the housing also fit the older Linea Mini?
This part is for the Mini R. We are happy to check in advance whether it fits your year of manufacture – send us the serial number.
Are the front panel and drip tray included?
No. Both are separate parts that we stock individually.
Can I do this myself?
We advise against it. The machine has to be largely dismantled for this, and afterwards everything has to be sealed tight and correctly wired again.
Can I see the part in your showroom?
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the serial number of your machine or the old part with you, and we will compare directly at the counter.
