The screw you see on the Linea Mini every day
There are only a few screws on the front of the Linea Mini, and that is exactly why each one stands out. A chewed-up slot, a scratch on the head, a speck of surface rust – on a machine that sits in the living room or on a café counter, that bothers you more than on a commercial machine in the back row.
This is the original screw for the front panel, M4 with a length of 10 millimetres and a slotted drive. The manufacturer's list shows it as I.1.099; the same position used to be listed as I.1.042. A part for just over one franc that makes a front look like new again.
When it's time
The slot is chewed up because a screwdriver that was too narrow slipped. The head has scratches or dark spots. The panel no longer sits flush because a screw is missing. And the classic: at some point it fell down while you were refilling the water tank or cleaning, and it never turned up again.

Who it's for
For everyone who keeps their Linea Mini in good shape and takes the machine's appearance seriously. And for technicians who replace all the front screws during an overhaul instead of screwing the old ones back in – it takes a minute and makes the biggest visual difference of the entire service.
What goes with it
The front of the Linea Mini also includes the red lettering and the white lettering. If you want to give the machine a completely new look, you'll find the housing in white. All other parts are listed under La Marzocco Linea Mini spare parts and Original spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer's specification: for slotted screws we always use the widest blade that still fits in the slot – not the first one that comes to hand from the set. That is exactly what ruins most slotted heads. And we give the head a quick polish with a microfibre cloth before screwing it in, so the front shines the way it should. Along with that, a cup of Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, the full range under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll work out the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same screw as the M4 × 10 with mushroom head?
The manufacturer's list gives the number I.1.099 for both positions, but the head is different. This one has a slot and sits on the front of the Linea Mini; the other one has a mushroom head and is listed for the Linea Micra and the anti-shock plates of the KB90. We list them as two items and prefer to be open about the duplication.
What does the old number I.1.042 mean?
That is the previous number for the same position. If you find I.1.042 in older service documentation, this screw here is the current successor.
How many screws are there on the front?
We don't have verified information on that. It's best to count them on your machine and order the right quantity – each order includes one screw.
What material is it made of?
The manufacturer's information doesn't tell us, so we don't claim anything. It is the original part from La Marzocco.
Can I pick up the part at your showroom?
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we'll have it ready for you.
