Rotary handle cap with R logo for the Rocket Appartamento – the visible detail on top
The cap sits on top of the rotary handle of the steam and water valve and closes it off from the outside. Your hand passes it whenever you turn the valve open, your eye falls on it every time – and in this version it carries the R logo. Functionally it changes nothing about the valve; it covers the handle and rounds it off visually.

When it's due
It's due when it has gone missing – that happens during cleaning more often than you'd think, because it's small and can come loose. Likewise if it's cracked, an edge has chipped off, or it no longer sits securely on the handle.
And there's the case without any defect: if you're replacing the handle anyway or simply want to switch from the plain version to the lettered detail, you swap the cap out of preference. That's a legitimate reason, and not one we judge.

Who it's for
For anyone with an Appartamento of the TCA generation whose cap is missing or damaged – and for anyone who wants the logo visible on the handle. Nobody needs this detail. You either like it or you don't, and both are fine.
Also as a replacement after a cleaning session in which the cap disappeared. It's one of those parts you only miss once they're gone.
What goes with it
The plain variant is the rotary handle cap without logo – the same part, just without lettering, and listed for the Appartamento and Bicocca.
The handle underneath is the rotary handle for Appartamento TCA and Bicocca. For other model series we stock the rotary handle for R58, Mozzafiato and Appartamento and the rotary handle for Cellini and Giotto along with its matching cap.

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our routine in Bern and Zurich: when cleaning the valve area, we never leave the cap lying loose on the drip tray, but put it in a small bowl next to the machine. Most of the caps people reorder from us aren't broken – they've disappeared. That's our own observation, not a manufacturer specification.
Once the detail is right again, a good bean goes with it too. From our roastery we have Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate on the counter, and for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. All roasts are under coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being fitted or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Only the logo. This cap carries the R; we stock the cap without logo as a separate item. It is listed for the Appartamento and Bicocca.
Is the rotary handle included?

Does the cap change anything about how the valve works?
No. It sits purely on the outside of the rotary handle and changes neither the operation nor the function of the steam or water valve.
Does the cap fit every Rocket?
No. Our documentation lists it for the Appartamento of the TCA generation. We don't claim it fits other model series – send us the model and serial number and we'll check.
