Olympia Express Knock Box complete – with bar, Made in Schwanden
The knock box made of brushed stainless steel in the classic Olympia format – in the complete version with an integrated knock bar. Heavy, stable bowl, robust bar with rubber coating. An honest Swiss workbench for the daily espresso workflow.
What makes this knock box special
Complete set, ready to use immediately
Bowl and knock bar in one. You take it out of the box, place it on your work surface, knock out your first puck – done. No separate parts to organize, no assembly required.
Solid stainless steel with rubberized bar
Brushed stainless steel, significant weight that keeps the bowl steady on the table when knocking. The knock bar is covered with a rubber layer that protects your portafilter and dampens the knocking sound. From Schwanden GL.

Who this knock box is for
For anyone who wants a complete setup for their espresso workflow – without having to combine a separate bar and bowl. Also ideal as a starter kit or as an honest gift for anyone entering the world of espresso. Our opinion: invest once in a Swiss stainless steel bowl, and it will last for decades.
Accessories that fit the knock box
Replacement bar, should the original ever wear out: separately in our Olympia Express Collection. For alternatives with a different look, there are knock boxes from the Knock Boxes and Drawers Collection. Cleaning: soft cloth, occasional warm water, done.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference to the bowl without a bar?
The complete version also includes the knock bar – ready to use immediately. The bowl without a bar is cheaper, ideal if you already own the bar or want to purchase it separately.
Does the bar damage my portafilter?
No. The rubber coating of the bar protects the portafilter from impact when knocking. Nevertheless: knock gently, not with force – this extends the life of all components.
How do I clean the bowl?
Regularly empty the coffee grounds, clean the bowl occasionally with warm water and a soft cloth. No harsh detergents or steel wool – stainless steel lasts for years if treated honestly.
Where can I buy the knock box or see it live?
Online via coffeecoachingclub.ch with delivery within 2–4 business days throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. On-site in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44, 3011 Bern) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b, 8050 Zurich). Click and Collect available.
Roastery Tip
A heavy, well-built knock box is one of those inconspicuous tools that makes the espresso workflow smooth. You knock out the puck, the bowl stays put, no clanking, no slipping. An honest Swiss workbench for everyone who uses their machine daily. Our opinion, one of many.
