Eureka Mignon Metal Tamping Station – metal tamping station
The portafilter sits firmly while you tamp. Nothing wobbles, and the pressure goes straight down into the coffee.
The Eureka tamping station is built from metal and picks up the cubic design language of the Mignon grinders. The height-adjustable dial lets you match the support to your portafilter, whether it has a forward spout, a reverse spout or is bottomless. The support ring can be removed and cleaned separately.
A level tamp gives an even puck, so the water meets similar resistance everywhere. We work by brew ratio and usually start espresso at 1:2. Every shot stays unique, because beans, humidity and you yourself change every day. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it is for
For everyone who works with a portafilter and wants a firm support when tamping, especially next to a Mignon. Grinders and more accessories are in the Eureka collection, more stations in Barista Equipment.
The station goes with a tamper. For anyone who wants an affordable, precise tamper: Normcore. If you want more: Weber Workshops. The full range is under tampers. The same goes for scales: compact and precise from Normcore, with app and flow-rate display from Acaia.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Eureka Mignon Metal Tamping Station fit my portafilter?
Eureka lists it for portafilters with a forward spout, a reverse spout and for bottomless portafilters. You set the height with the dial.
Do I need a Eureka grinder for the tamping station?
No. The station stands freely on the counter. The design is matched to the Mignon grinders.
How do I clean the Eureka tamping station?
The support ring can be removed and cleaned separately.
Can I see the product before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Not every accessory is on site at all times, so it is best to get in touch by email beforehand.
Tip from the roastery: A clean tamp shows what is in the bean. For dense, chocolatey espresso we roast Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. That is our recommendation, one of many.
