The cover closes off the grinding chamber of the Zenith. As long as it sits properly, you don't notice it: the ground coffee stays in the channel, the discharge chute stays dry and the worktop stays free of fine dust. If it fails, you notice straight away – from a pale film around the grinder that comes back every morning.
Plastic in this spot has a hard life. It is removed and refitted at every cleaning, it sits right next to the grinding assembly, and over the years coffee oil creeps into every edge. At some point the detent no longer holds, a rib cracks and the cover sits askew. A new part restores the seal without anything else having to be touched.
When fine coffee dust lies around the grinder even though you have just wiped it clean. When the cover no longer clicks into place noticeably or comes loose by itself. When you see cracks or broken tabs, or when the plastic has become glassy and brittle and cracks when you remove it. And whenever you had to force it back in at the last service.

For anyone who uses a Zenith 65 every day and opens the grinding chamber regularly – in a café just as much as at home. If you often switch between two beans and therefore clean more frequently, you will wear out this part faster than someone who sticks with the same roast for a year.
If the grinding chamber is open anyway, it is worth taking a look at the 65 mm burrs and the Zenith grounds tray. For cleaning the grinding assembly and chamber, we carry the cleaning range for machine and grinder. You will find everything else from the brand under Eureka and under Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts.
We never fit a new cover on a chamber that has not been cleaned. First brush and vacuum, then wipe the sealing surfaces dry – old ground coffee on the detent is the most common reason why the new part supposedly does not fit. This is our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement. For dialling in afterwards, we use Nutty Delight, for chocolatey notes Cozy Chocolate and for maximum body Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Yes, this part is intended for both versions of the Zenith 65. Part number 2570.0003 helps you check against your service documentation.
Wipe the surface around the grinder clean and grind two doses. If the dust settles in the same direction again, it is coming from the seal of the grinding chamber.
As a rule, no more than what you take apart for cleaning anyway. If you are unsure, send us the serial number and we will tell you what to expect.
The Helios is a different model series and has its own part. Drop us a short message saying which grinder you use and we will check the fit.
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
