Some items in the spare parts catalogue don’t have a descriptive name, just a number. This fixing nut is one of them: the documents list it as L292/R, without stating the machine and without a specified location. We stock it anyway, because exactly these kinds of numbers turn up on service lists – and because a missing nut takes a machine out of action just as reliably as a faulty valve.
If you’ve landed here, you probably have a number in front of you and are looking for the matching part. That’s the right way round. If you order by number, you don’t need a description; if, on the other hand, you want to start from the machine, get in touch with us briefly before you buy on spec. We deliberately don’t claim any fit here that we can’t back up.
Your service list or the exploded view says L292/R. An existing nut has worn round, the thread no longer grips, or it got lost during disassembly. In all three cases, retightening is no longer a solution and the item gets replaced.

Because we don’t know the location, we also can’t say whether the nut sits on the outside of the housing or inside on a pressurised fitting. So the cautious approach applies here: if you can’t assign it with certainty, have a qualified technician do the installation. We don’t provide step-by-step instructions for this part – they would be guesswork, and we don’t guess.
For technicians who order with the part number in hand, and for businesses restocking their small parts inventory. For private use, this part only makes sense if you have the number from a service document for your own machine. If not: ask first, then order – that’s cheaper than buying a nut that doesn’t fit anywhere.
You’ll find more small parts in the Original spare parts section, and the brand’s full range in the La Marzocco accessories and spare parts section. Frequently ordered together: the 3/8 inch nut with AF 21 and the M4 × 8 cross-head screw for the housing.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich: For items that only carry a number, we write the number in pencil on a strip of tape and stick it to the edge of the little bag as soon as the part has been removed. Sounds trivial, but it saves half the troubleshooting next time – our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement. And because small-parts days get long: in the workshop we usually have the Cozy Chocolate on, which doesn’t get tiring even after the third cup. If you like it stronger, go for the Very Nutty; the other varieties are in Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we’ll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Our documents don’t name a model for it. We don’t make up an assignment. Send us the serial number of your machine and where the number appears in your document, and we’ll check the fit together.
Our document doesn’t give any information on that either. We only list here what is documented: the part number L292/R. If you need the dimensions and thread, we’ll ask the manufacturer.
The price is per piece. Simply order the quantity you need, or write to us if you want a larger quantity for a service stock.
