This O-ring sits between the cover and the housing of the flowmeter. It is the cheapest part in this assembly and the one everything depends on: if it sits cleanly in its groove, the joint stays dry. If it is flattened, nicked or scaled up, the water finds its way – straight to where the electronics and lines are.
O-rings on hot water paths age without fail. They harden, lose their resilience and keep the imprint of their groove. That is exactly why a fresh ring belongs to every job where the flowmeter is opened. Reusing it saves a few francs and costs you a second service appointment.
White crusts on the sealing seat are the most common reason a connection no longer seals. So descale and clean thoroughly first before you conclude it is wear; you will find the products for this under Machine and grinder cleaning. Then the new O-ring goes onto a clean surface – that way it lasts.
The flowmeter leaks at the cover. The old ring is hard, nicked or sticks in its groove. There is limescale on the ring. The unit is opened for cleaning or service – then the swap is routine, not repair.

The ring seals a pressurised point inside the machine. We do not provide step-by-step instructions for this: the machine must be depressurised and cooled down, the groove clean, and the ring must not be twisted or pinched when it is fitted. A qualified professional does this properly in a few minutes.
For technicians who open flowmeters and keep the ring as a stock item, and for businesses that do not want to forget the matching seal when ordering a cover.
Directly related are the flowmeter cover for GB5 and Linea PB and the flowmeter cover, old version. You will find more seals under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts and in the Original spare parts section; for lever machines we stock the O-rings for LEVA in six sizes.
Our routine from Bern and Zurich, and explicitly ours: we always order O-rings in pairs. Not because they break, but because one is guaranteed to drop into the base of the machine and end up behind the boiler. Two rings in the bag have saved us more evenings than any special tool. Afterwards an espresso as a check, usually Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate, and Very Nutty in the cappuccino. More under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
We do not have verified dimensions for LAD070/S1, so we do not state any. Order by the part number and the ring will fit its housing.
We have no verified information on this either, and we do not make any up. What we can say: it is the O-ring that La Marzocco lists under this number for the flowmeter.
No, only the ring is supplied. We stock the cover in two versions as separate items.
We replace it every time the flowmeter is opened. We do not specify a fixed interval because it depends heavily on the water and the operating time.
Yes. Bern, Gerberngasse 44 or Zurich, Hagenholzstrasse 50b. A short message is all it takes.
