The glass side panels of the GS3 are what make the machine look so tidy. They are held in place by just a few screws – and under each screw sits a small rubber washer. It is the only layer between hard metal and hard glass. If it is missing or has flattened, the screw pulls directly onto the edge of the glass. First it rattles, and at some point the panel has a crack that you can no longer get rid of.
A part for two francs that protects a glass panel worth over a hundred.
Whenever you have removed a glass panel – the old washers are usually squashed flat by then. When the panel rattles or can be moved. When a washer crumbles during removal or has stuck to the glass. And whenever you change the colour of the side panels.

For anyone recolouring their GS3, taking off the side panels for cleaning or dealing with a rattling panel. And for anyone who wants to keep a few in the drawer as a precaution – these washers like to disappear under the machine while you're working on the screws.
We carry the glass side panels in several colours, such as black, white or transparent. For the same service step, the gasket for the large water tank lid and the twist lock for the drip tray are a good match. Everything else under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts.
We deliberately tighten the panel screws only lightly, just until the glass stops wobbling – and never all the way in one go, but crosswise. Glass doesn't tolerate tension well, and the rubber washer can only cushion what you don't take away from it with force. This is our workshop routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for maximum body. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test-fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
As many as your panel has screws – one washer is supplied per unit. We recommend ordering a few extra right away.
Better not. Without rubber, the screw sits directly on the glass, and that's exactly where stress cracks form.
This part is listed for the GS3. Write to us and tell us which model you run, and we'll check it.
Only the wrench for the panel screws. The washer itself is simply placed on.
Yes, you can see it in person in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
