La Marzocco Strada S/X group channel in grey – tidy where it shows

On the Strada, the brew group isn't a hidden component but part of the front. Anything that doesn't sit properly there catches the barista's eye with every shot, and the eye of guests at the counter too. This grey channel guides and covers what has to run along the group, and keeps the view calm.

It's a plastic part in a hot, humid environment. Over the years it becomes brittle, develops cracks at the snap-in tabs or discolours unevenly. Then it no longer holds properly, rattles quietly, or simply looks tired next to a freshly serviced machine.

When it's due

When the channel no longer clicks into place properly or comes loose on its own, when the snap-in tabs are broken, when it shows cracks or has warped from heat, and when the discolouration stands out next to the other components. A channel isn't a safety-relevant part – but it's exactly the detail that shows whether a machine is looked after.

Who it's for

For cafés with a Strada S or X built into the counter that want their machine to look like it did on day one, even after years – and for service companies that replace the visible plastic parts as part of an overhaul.

What goes with it

Servicing the Strada also calls for the gasket set for the group pump, the 0.6 mm gicleur for GS3 and Strada AV and the cover cap for the brew head screw. Everything else under La Marzocco Strada spare parts and Original spare parts.

Tip from our workshop

We clean plastic parts on the group only with warm water and a soft cloth, never with cleaning powder. Puly Caff belongs in the blind filter and on the shower screen, not on painted or tinted plastic surfaces – it makes them dull. That's our experience from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards, we like to use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.

No returns

Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll work out the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

Does the channel also fit a Strada AV or EP?

Our documentation lists it for the Strada S and X. For the other Strada variants, send us the serial number and we'll check before you order.

Is the channel also available in another colour?

This part is the grey version. If you need a different one, write to us – we'll see what the manufacturer offers.

Is this a safety-relevant part?

No. The channel guides and covers; it carries neither pressure nor electrical current.

How many do I need for a multi-group machine?

One channel is supplied per order. For two or three groups, order the corresponding quantity.

Can I see the part in the showroom?

Yes, you can see it in person in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
