The small seal that makes an ODE valve tight again
ODE is the manufacturer of the valves that La Marzocco fits in some of its machines. This O-ring belongs to these valves and has the part number H.1.022. It is a pure rubber part – no valve, no coil, no electrics – and that is exactly why we can offer it here, while the valve itself is not sold online.
Leaking valves are a common reason why a machine keeps dripping after a shot or why there is constantly water under the drip tray. Often it is not the valve technology but simply a hardened seal at the threaded connection. Replacing the ring is then the small fix for a problem that looks big.
When it is due
You see water on the valve body that does not come from the drain. Moisture collects under the machine even though the hoses are dry. A white limescale edge forms at the threaded connection. When removed, the ring is hard, flattened and can no longer be stretched. A new ring costs little – another service appointment considerably more.

Important for installation
The ring sits on a valve in the water-carrying line, in the immediate vicinity of live components. Disconnect the machine from the mains, let it cool down and release the pressure completely before opening anything. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here – this is a job for a qualified technician. After reassembly, check the sealing point under pressure and while warm.

For service companies that overhaul an ODE valve instead of replacing it. And for workshops that keep a few of these rings in the drawer because they are needed for almost every major service.

When a machine is leaking under the drip tray, we first search dry: heat up the machine, wipe everything clean and then use a torch to see where the first drop forms. Nine times out of ten it is a sealing point and not the component behind it. That is our routine, not a manufacturer specification. No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. This does not affect your rights in respect of defective goods.
Is the valve included?
No. You receive only the O-ring. We do not sell solenoid valves through the online shop; if you need one, get in touch with us.
What is ODE?
The name of the valve manufacturer whose valves are fitted in some La Marzocco machines. The designation comes from the parts list and says nothing about the machine model.
What size is the ring?
Our documentation states neither dimensions nor material for this position. The part number H.1.022 is decisive. Otherwise, send us the serial number of your machine and we will check the fit.
Can I replace the ring myself?
The spot is inside the machine next to live components. We recommend installation by a qualified technician, which is why we do not provide installation instructions here either.
