Steam and water overhaul kit for the Linea Micra – the small service that saves a lot
The Linea Micra operates steam and hot water via a single knob. That is elegant and saves space – and it means that a single valve handles both functions and is moved correspondingly often. When it starts to wear, you notice it right away, because then both stop working cleanly at once.
Typical signs are a quiet hiss after closing, a knob that has become a little too loose, or a drip coming out of the wand after heating up. This overhaul kit with part number B.1.012.R brings the wear parts back up to standard without having to replace the entire valve straight away.

Hissing or a fine wisp of steam after the knob has been closed. A knob with play or that turns roughly. Drips from the wand between shots. A valve that only seals after noticeable extra turning. And generally during a major service of a Micra that has been running daily for years.

Important for installation
The valve sits on the steam boiler and is under pressure. Before working on it, the machine is disconnected from the mains, allowed to cool down completely and depressurised. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions – a steam valve opened under residual pressure is a scalding hazard, and with the Micra's compact design there is little space around it. This job belongs in experienced hands.

Our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement: we always close the Micra's knob with just two fingers. A valve that only seals when you use your whole hand is due anyway – and a valve that has been cranked shut for years has a seat that even a fresh kit can no longer save.
