The ring that gives the GS3 MP group cover a clean finish
The group cover sits on top of the brew group of a GS3 MP, and this ring runs around it. It joins cover and group into one line instead of leaving a visible gap – on a machine that deliberately stands in full view on the counter, that is the difference between finished and half-finished.
The ring sits at the warmest and most humid spot on the machine. Steam, cleaning agents and the daily cloth take their toll until it turns dull, warps or catches when the cover is lifted. Part number C.1.336.
When it's due
The ring has cracks, dents or a spot where it no longer sits evenly. It no longer slides cleanly over the cover, or it sits askew and leaves a gap where coffee grounds collect. It is also worth a look after the cover has been dropped or after a thorough overhaul of the group – the ring is often the part that gets damaged.

Who it's for
For GS3 MP owners who also care about how their machine looks – and for technicians who, during a group overhaul, replace everything that sits on top of the group in one go. A small part you'll gladly curse during reassembly if it's missing.
What goes with it
The ring belongs to the GS3 MP group cover – that is a separate item with the number F.1.079. Not to be confused with the plastic ring on the GS3 MP brew group (F.1.021), which sits further down on the group head. Our own routine, not a manufacturer specification: before fitting, we briefly place the new ring next to the old one and check whether the shape has changed. A ring that has become slightly oval over the years will still go on, but it presses at one spot – and that is exactly where the new one will crack first. Then a few shots as a check, usually with Nutty Delight. For more chocolatey notes, go for Cozy Chocolate, for more strength Very Nutty. Everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Is this the group cover itself?
No. Only the ring with the number C.1.336 is supplied. We carry the cover separately as GS3 MP group cover with the number F.1.079.
And the plastic ring on the brew group – is that the same thing?
No, those are two separate items. The plastic ring F.1.021 sits on the group head, this ring C.1.336 on top of the group cover. If in doubt, send us a photo and we'll tell you which one it is.
Does it also fit a GS3 AV?
The number C.1.336 is assigned to the MP version. The AV has a different setup on top of the group. Send us the serial number and we'll check before you order.
What are the ring's dimensions?
We have no data on this, and we don't make any up. If you need them for your documentation, we'll ask the manufacturer.
