What sets a LEVA apart from any other machine is something you feel in your hand: that full, even pull on the lever. It comes from the rotary chamber, where a roller runs along its track and guides the movement instead of letting it slip.
This roller is a moving part under load, and moving parts under load wear. The wear doesn't show up as a defect but as a change in feel – the lever gets rougher, catches at one point or makes a noise it didn't make before. Part number F.1.086.
The lever travel no longer feels even but catches at one point. When pulling, you hear a creak or squeak from the group. The removed roller has a flat spot, no longer runs freely or shows a clear wear groove. During an overhaul of the lever group, it belongs on the list of parts you check anyway and, if in doubt, replace at the same time.

The roller sits inside the lever group, which has to be dismantled to replace it. In this assembly, springs work under preload and the piston works in a pressurised cylinder. We deliberately don't provide step-by-step instructions for this and recommend leaving the job to a specialist.
For baristas who have noticed that their lever feels different than it used to, and for technicians overhauling a LEVA group. A small part with a big effect on what you're really looking for in this machine.
The same mechanism includes the roller bushing for the lever group, the needle bearing 9 × 19 × 12 and the mechanical fork of the lever group. The guide ring for the piston rod belongs to the same overhaul. All parts for this series: La Marzocco LEVA spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer specification: we place a removed roller on a smooth plate and give it a push by hand. If it doesn't roll out evenly but always comes to rest in the same position, it has a flat spot – then it goes, even if you can't see anything with the naked eye. After reassembly, we pull a few shots with the Nutty Delight, because it lets you hear clearly whether the group runs quietly again. For more chocolate, try the Cozy Chocolate; for more strength, the Very Nutty. Everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test-fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
That depends on the design of your group and the number of groups. If you have the group open anyway, it's worth checking all of them and, if in doubt, replacing them together – a second disassembly costs more than the part.
No. The roller bushing is a separate item. The two age together and are therefore often ordered together.
We haven't been given the material and dimensions, and we don't claim anything we can't back up. On request, we'll ask the manufacturer.
Part number F.1.086 is assigned to the LEVA; we don't have a breakdown by year of manufacture. Send us the serial number and we'll check the fit before you order.
Yes. Drop by in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the old part with you and we'll compare it together.
