In many venues, the Linea PB stands in the middle of the room – on an island, at a walk-through bar, in full view of guests from every side. Then the back panel is no longer a hidden piece of sheet metal but a visible part. This panel belongs to the 2-group Linea PB in the brushed version and carries the part number C.1.805.2.01.
Brushed stainless steel has a peculiarity: it is less forgiving of signs of wear than a shiny surface, because every scratch across the grain shows immediately. Once a back panel has reached that point, it can no longer be polished out – it gets replaced.
The panel has dents from transport, scratches from a trolley or traces of corrosion at a spot where water stood permanently. It no longer sits flush because the mounting points are distorted. Or it has to be replaced because the wrong variant was fitted during a conversion and the cut-outs don't match.

Behind the back panel are lines, the boiler and the machine's entire electrical system. Disconnect the machine from the mains before opening it, let it cool down and release the pressure. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions here. A panel of this size is best handled by two people – partly because of its weight, and partly because an edge of the sheet metal catches a line faster than you'd like.
For venues with a free-standing Linea PB whose back is damaged, and for service companies refurbishing a machine for resale. On a machine against a wall the part goes unnoticed – on an island bar it makes up half of the overall impression.
The same machine also uses the brew group cover Linea PB 2-group, the red logo for the front and the white logo Linea PB X. For an overview, see Spare parts La Marzocco Linea PB, Accessories and spare parts La Marzocco and the Original spare parts section.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We always clean brushed stainless steel along the grain, never in circles. A microfibre cloth, a little warm water, at most a drop of washing-up liquid – and no scouring cream, because it leaves exactly those fine cross-marks you can't get rid of afterwards. This is our routine, not a manufacturer's specification. Once the machine is complete again, it's time to pull a shot: Nutty Delight, sweet Cozy Chocolate, strong Very Nutty. More in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. The number C.1.805.2.01 is for the 2-group version. Other group counts have their own numbers.
A surface with a fine, even grain instead of a high gloss. It looks more matte and shows fingerprints less – but scratches across the grain are clearly visible.
Our documentation lists no logo for this item. We carry lettering as separate items. If your current back panel has one, write to us – we'll check this before you order.
No, you receive the panel only. We carry mounting hardware separately.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know shortly beforehand and the part will be ready for you – with a panel of this size, picking it up is often worthwhile.
