A GB5 rarely stands alone. It sits at the bar, between the grinder, the sink and the till, and that's exactly where it picks up the dents – the rolling cart, the milk jug, the colleague with a portafilter in hand. After a few years, the technology inside looks better than the sheet metal outside.
This left side cover is the matching original part, listed by La Marzocco under part number C.1.013.01. It replaces the dented or scratched side panel without anything in the hydraulics having to be touched.
The side panel is dented, scratched or bent up at a corner. It no longer sits flush because a fastening has torn out. It has dull streaks from cleaning agents that won't come off. Or the machine is being given a cosmetic refresh before a sale or after a move – and the side panel is the part that makes the biggest difference.

The cover itself is just sheet metal – but behind it lies the inside of a machine with mains voltage and hot water. Before removing it, the GB5 is switched off, disconnected from the mains and allowed to cool down. Don't overtighten when screwing it on: a cleanly aligned panel holds better with moderate tightening than a warped one with a lot of force.
For cafés and restaurants that want to get their GB5 looking good again while it stays in service, and for service companies refurbishing a machine for resale.
The opposite side is the right side cover, and the GB5 back panel 2-group closes off the rear. The spring plungers are used to fasten the front panel, and at the bottom of the housing sit the cover plate above the foot and the raised rear foot. Everything for the brand under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: when we replace a side panel, we lay the old one flat on the workbench and place the screws next to it in the same arrangement. On the GB5 they are not all the same length, and anyone who mixes them up only finds out when something jams inside. Alongside, an espresso made from Nutty Delight – the bean we have running during this kind of work. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. You receive the left cover. The right side is a separate item and is linked above.
The spare parts list gives no colour for this number, and we won't make one up. If your GB5 has a special colour, send us the serial number – then we'll clarify which version fits.
The number C.1.013.01 doesn't tell you that. The GB5 generations differ in their housing. Send us the model and serial number, and we'll check the fit before you order.
No. You receive the sheet metal panel. Screws and fastening parts are separate items.
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we'll have it ready for you.
