The right side of a GB5 takes the most in everyday use: that's often where the grinder stands, where the knocking out happens, where someone pushes the milk crate past. The sheet metal absorbs all that over the years, and at some point you can see how hard the machine has worked – even though everything inside is fine.
This right side cover is the original part for it, listed by La Marzocco under part number C.1.014.01. It is replaced without changing anything in the water, steam or electrical systems.
The side panel is dented or bent open at an edge. It sticks out because a fastening has torn out. It has scratches and dull spots that no amount of polishing will remove. Or the machine is being given a visual refresh before a sale, a new opening or after a move.

The part itself is sheet metal – but behind it are the inner workings of a machine with mains voltage and hot water. Before removing it, switch off the GB5, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down. When screwing it on: first insert all screws loosely, then align, then tighten. That way the gap to the front and to the back panel stays even.
For cafés and restaurants that want their GB5 to look tidy again while it stays in service, and for service companies refurbishing a machine for resale.
The opposite side is the left side cover, at the back it joins the GB5 2-group back panel. The front panel uses the spring plungers; at the bottom are the cover plate above the foot and the raised foot. Everything for the brand under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer specification: before we fit a new side panel, we wipe the contact edges on the frame dry and check whether any old coffee grounds or milk scale are still stuck there. Otherwise, exactly that gets pressed into the new surface. Along with it, an espresso made with Cozy Chocolate, while the machine cools down. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll check the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. You receive the right cover. The left side is a separate item and linked above.
The spare parts list gives no colour for this number, and we don't add one on speculation. If you have a special colour, send us the serial number and we'll clarify the version.
The number C.1.014.01 doesn't tell us that. The GB5 generations differ in their housing. Send us the model and serial number and we'll check the fit before you order.
No. You receive the sheet metal part. Screws and fastening parts are separate items.
