The GS3 is a machine people look at. It sits on the counter or on the kitchen worktop, and its sides are just as much part of its appearance as the front. The left side panel has the part number F.1.009.SX – in the Italian documentation, SX stands for sinistra, meaning left.
Panels don't suffer during operation, but from being moved around. A transport, a service during which the sides are removed, a knock with the portafilter basket: plastic parts develop hairline cracks at the mounting points, warp and then no longer sit cleanly. You can see it from a gap that is bigger on one side than on the other.
The panel no longer sits flush and sticks out at one edge. A mounting point is torn out or cracked. Scratches or dents that can't be polished out. Or the machine is being resold and should look right again – on the GS3, a fresh panel on each side makes more of a visual difference than the two items cost.

For GS3 owners who want to get their machine back into shape, and for service workshops that take care of the looks as part of an overhaul. If you replace both sides, also order the right position.
The opposite side is the right side panel F.1.009.DX. It is fastened with the chrome screw for the standard side panel and the brass nut M8 × 3. The larger anthracite plastic cover including metal sheet is a separate item: left side cover, plastic, anthracite. Everything else under Spare parts for the GS3.
From our workshop
In Bern and Zurich, we always tighten panel screws crosswise and only hand-tight – if you tighten a plastic panel with force, you will get the next hairline crack within six months. That is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Once the machine is back together, we pull the acceptance espresso with Nutty Delight. It gets more chocolatey with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty; everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
In the Italian manufacturer documentation, SX stands for sinistra, meaning left. The right side is listed as DX for destra.
No. These are two separate items. The anthracite cover is supplied including metal sheet and is considerably more expensive; this panel is listed under F.1.009.SX.
We have no information on this, and we won't guess here. Send us the serial number and a photo, and we will clarify the version.
No. Only the panel is supplied. We stock the matching chrome screws and nuts separately.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick line beforehand and we will have the part ready for you.
