The lever group of a LEVA is the spot where the machine gets the most attention – and where the most happens. This panel covers it from the left side. The manufacturer lists it under the number C.3.018.SX; the abbreviation SX stands for the Italian side designation sinistra, meaning left.
Panels of this kind are visible parts and protective parts at the same time. They keep fingers away from the moving mechanism and give the group its shape. Because they sit on the very outside, over the years they collect scratches, coffee oils and a film of limescale – and at some point a new panel is the quickest way to make a machine look like new again.
The panel is scratched, bent or torn out at the mounting points. It no longer sits flush, rattles during operation or has a crack. Or it’s simply missing because it wasn’t refitted after an earlier service – something you shouldn’t leave that way on a LEVA, because the covers on the lever group are protection, not decoration.

For businesses with a LEVA whose group has suffered visually, and for service companies getting a machine back into shape before handover or resale. On a machine that stands in the guest area, the panel is one of the parts that most strongly shapes the overall impression.
The counterpart is the right side panel of the lever group with the number C.3.018.DX. Not to be confused with the upper front panel LEVA 2-group (C.1.284.2) and the plastic surround of the brew group for the front panel. You’ll find further parts of the lever group such as the mechanical fork of the lever group and the screw for the protective cover. For an overview, see La Marzocco LEVA spare parts and in the category Original spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Before we replace a panel, we first try a little patience: warm water, a soft cloth and a mild cleaner, never an abrasive. Much of what looks like a scratch is a dried-on film of milk or coffee oil. Only if something is still visible after that is a replacement worthwhile. That’s our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. And as soon as the group looks tidy again, it’s time for a shot: Nutty Delight, the sweet Cozy Chocolate, the strong Very Nutty. More in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we’ll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
SX stands for sinistra, meaning left; DX for destra, right. The side refers to the view of the machine from the front.
No. Left and right are two positions with their own numbers. If you need both, order them separately.
No. The upper front panel of the 2-group LEVA has the number C.1.284.2 and is a different part. This one is the side panel of the lever group.
Our service documentation gives no colour or finish information for C.3.018.SX. Send us the serial number of your machine and we’ll clarify the version before you order.
