A red KB90 makes a statement. It stands at the bar, not in the kitchen, and is part of the look of the business just like the cups and the sign on the door. That is exactly why a dent or a deep scratch on the side is so bothersome: the machine works perfectly and still looks tired.
This left side panel in red is the original part for it, listed by La Marzocco under part number C.1.422.SX. “SX” stands for left. The chrome version for the same side has the same number with the suffix GR.
The panel is dented or bent open at one edge. The paint is scratched or chipped in one spot. A mounting point has torn out and the panel rattles. Or the business is being redesigned and the machine should look the way it did on opening day again.

Behind the panel are the KB90's internals, with mains voltage, boiler and hot water. Before removal, the machine is switched off, disconnected from the mains and allowed to cool down. Painted parts must not be put under strain when screwing them on: first fit them loosely, align them, then tighten evenly – otherwise the paint cracks at the hole.
For businesses with a red KB90 whose side has taken a beating, and for service companies refurbishing a KB90 for resale.
The opposite side is the right side panel in red; in chrome, the same part is available for the left and right. The group cover sits on top, and the portafilter holder kit 2.0 does its job at the portafilter. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco KB90 spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: on painted panels, we stick a piece of masking tape on the screwdriver tip before fitting. A single slip leaves a scratch that you will never get out of a red part. To go with it, an espresso made with Nutty Delight. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The red version is listed under C.1.422.SX, the chrome version under C.1.422.SX.GR. The code GR indicates chrome.
The spare parts list does not give a colour code for this number, and we won't make one up. If your machine has a special colour, send us the serial number – and we will clarify this before you order.
