A red KB90 shapes the room it stands in. And because in most businesses the grinder or the clearing station sits right next to it on the right, this is exactly the flank that takes the first hit – a knock from the jug, a scratch from the portafilter, a dent from the service trolley.
This red right side panel is the original part for it, listed by La Marzocco under part number C.1.422.DX. “DX” stands for right; the chrome version of the same side carries the same number with the suffix GR.
The panel is dented or bent open at an edge. The paint is scratched or chipped. A mounting point has torn out and the panel no longer sits firmly. Or the business is being refreshed and the machine should look the way it did on day one.

Behind the panel are the inner workings of the KB90, with mains voltage, boiler and hot water. Before removing it, switch the machine off, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down. Don't put painted parts under stress: first fit them loosely, align them, then tighten evenly – otherwise the paint cracks at the hole.
For businesses with a red KB90 whose right flank has taken a beating, and for service workshops refurbishing a KB90.
The opposite side is the left side panel in red; in chrome, the same part is available for the left and the right. For the latch there is the Straight-In latch hook kit, for the steam the knob. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco KB90 spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: after changing the panel, we run a flat hand once over all the edges. Wherever something feels sharp, either it hasn't fully clicked into place or a screw is missing – you feel it faster than you see it. To go with it, an espresso made from Nutty Delight. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The red version is listed under C.1.422.DX, the chrome version under C.1.422.DX.GR. The abbreviation GR denotes chrome.
The spare parts list gives no colour code for this number, and we don't invent one. In the case of a special colour, send us the serial number and we will clarify it beforehand.
