The drain pan sits under the drip tray grate of the Linea Classic. It catches whatever misses the cup during extraction, whatever comes out of the group during backflushing and whatever lands there when you knock out the portafilter, and carries it to the drain. This version is for the 2-group machine.
It is the part that takes the most punishment in a bar and gets the least attention. Milk residue and coffee oils attack the surface, acids from cleaning agents do the rest, and at some point water stands in the pan instead of draining away – because it has warped or because a corner has corroded.
Replace the drain pan if it leaks at a seam or at the drain spigot, if rust spots or pitting appear, if it is dented and the water no longer runs to the drain, or if it no longer comes clean of odours even after thorough cleaning. Water standing permanently in the pan is not a cosmetic issue but a question of hygiene.

Our records list two versions that differ only in the number of groups: C.1.586.2.01 for the 2-group machine – that is, this product – and C.1.586.3.01 for the 3-group. The number is the only reliable way to tell them apart, which is why we put it in the title. If in doubt, count the brew groups on your machine before you order.
For bars and restaurants where the Linea Classic has been running for years and the underside of the machine is showing its age, and for anyone refurbishing a used machine. The drain pan is a part you can swap without touching the technical components – it is not bolted to the water circuit but simply sits under the grate.
For the Linea Classic we also carry the raised foot, the complete steam wand and the steam knob. The remaining items are in the Linea Classic spare parts section and under Original spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We take the whole drain pan out once a week, not just the grate. That is where the build-up that makes the machine smell collects, and it is also where you first see whether a corner is starting to corrode. This is our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement. What we use for it is under Machine and grinder cleaning. Afterwards it is time for a Nutty Delight, sometimes a Cozy Chocolate or a Very Nutty – all under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
We do not have a product image for this item. We would rather show no picture than a wrong one. Write to us and we will describe the part in more detail or send you a photo from our stock.
This is not itemised in our records, so we do not claim it. Ask us before ordering and we will check the scope of delivery with the manufacturer.
No. For three groups, C.1.586.3.01 is the right item.
We have no information on that, nor on the dimensions. The only reliable reference is the part number C.1.586.2.01.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Send us a short message saying which part you need and we will have it ready for you.
