It sits compact on the counter, the embossed circles on the copper side panels catch the light, and the E61 group is ready to go. The Appartamento has always been the Rocket for the home kitchen – the TCA generation adds adjustable boiler pressure and a reworked body. This version: stainless steel body with copper side panels. The colour itself isn't a technical question – copper next to stainless steel is warmer, earthier, a small statement on the counter. Nobody needs copper instead of black, the machine pulls the same espresso either way. Our opinion on colour is one of many – what matters is what speaks to you when you walk into the kitchen in the morning.
Coffee Coaching Club is a partner of Rocket in Switzerland. With every new coffee machine from CHF 1'500, a private barista introduction course of around 60 minutes is included – in Bern, Zurich or online, for up to two people from the same household or company attending together. The course must take place within one month of delivery; after that, the entitlement expires. Get in touch with us for the course and we'll find a date together.
A heat exchanger system with the classic E61 brew group: brew and steam back to back with no waiting, with mechanical pre-infusion. The E61 has been a Rocket standard for decades – proven, direct, with pre-infusion you can feel in the puck. How strong you extract is best read off the weight ratio in the cup (1:2 is a solid starting point), never off the clock alone.
TCA stands for Temperature Control Adjustment. Boiler pressure adjusts from 0.9 to 1.2 bar in 0.1 bar increments (default 1 bar) – so you fine-tune brew temperature indirectly to match your bean.
Rounded sides, embossed circles and a vertical logo, designed by Valerio Cometti+V12 Design.
Standby off or after 30 minutes, your choice, a 1.9-litre water tank with reserve sensor, and a generous drip tray.

For anyone who wants a compact E61 machine for the home kitchen, one that needs little space yet still brings the full Rocket character. With adjustable boiler pressure, the TCA gives you a range the classic Appartamento doesn't have. It comes down to wanting it – that's enough.
The matching grinder: affordable and precise from the Varia Collection, or more from the Eureka grinders. The same principle applies to tampers: compact and reliable from Normcore, with more presence on the counter from Weber Workshops. Scales come in both price ranges too – from Normcore, or with app and flow-rate display from Acaia. For help choosing, see the Machine Comparison.

The TCA has the reworked body with embossing and vertical logo, adjustable boiler pressure, and a configurable standby function.
No, the Appartamento TCA is designed as a water tank machine (1.9 litres).

With the adjustable boiler pressure, you can fine-tune things to your bean. Our Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are a reliable place to start. That's our recommendation, one of many.
