Rocket knob cover for steam and water – the clean finish on the knob
You reach for the steam knob, turn it open, and your thumb rests on the small round surface on top. That is exactly where this cover sits. It is the part you never consciously look at and yet touch a hundred times a day – until it is missing, and suddenly you are looking into an open screw recess.
The cover closes off the top of the steam and water knob on the Rocket Cellini and Giotto. It keeps the fixing screw hidden and the top of the knob smooth, so no milk film collects in the recess when you wipe it down. It does not change any function: it simply sits on top of the existing knob. Part number A527704283.
When to replace it
The cover rarely breaks, but it often gets lost – during servicing, when moving the machine, while cleaning. It is due when it turns along with the knob or rattles, when the fit has worn out and it falls out on its own, when the surface has become dull or cracked from cleaning agents – or simply when there is a gaping hole in the knob where it should be.

Who it is for
For anyone whose cover was left behind on the workbench at the last service. For machines that have been running for years and whose plastic has simply grown tired. And for people who want their Cellini or Giotto complete again before guests are standing at the counter.
What goes with it

Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine at the counter, not a manufacturer's instruction: we only fit the cover once the knob has been tightened and the machine has been up to operating temperature once. Warm plastic clicks into place noticeably more cleanly, and you can tell right away whether the fit still holds. While we're working on the knob anyway, a double shot runs on the side – usually Nutty Delight, because it still tastes good even after a pause in the portafilter, or Cozy Chocolate if milk comes into play afterwards. If you like it strong, go for Very Nutty. Everything else is in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does this cover also fit my Appartamento?
No. This cover belongs to the knob of the Cellini and Giotto. The newer knobs of the Appartamento TCA and the Bicocca have their own covers, with and without logo.
Is the knob included?
No. You only receive the cover. The knob, clip and shaft are separate spare parts.
Does the cover change anything about the steam or hot water?
No. It sits on the outside of the knob and has no contact with the valve or the water path.
I am not sure which version my knob is.
