You rest your hand on top of the grinder, turn the wheel one step further and feel the detent click into place. That small click is the feedback you rely on when dialling in: one step finer and the shot runs slower, one step coarser and it flows again.
If the wheel no longer sits firmly on its mount or a detent lug has broken, that feedback is lost. The grinder keeps grinding, but you are turning into nothing, you can no longer hit the same point reliably and you end up dialling in the same beans again every morning. The wheel is a control part, not a wear part in the strict sense – it is replaced when it is mechanically damaged.
The wheel turns without the grind size changing. The detent feels soft or is missing altogether. The wheel wobbles on its mount or can be pulled off by hand. A rib or lug on the underside is visibly broken. Or the wheel has been dropped and has a crack – then it will break completely the next time you turn it firmly.

For anyone who has a Rocket Faustino V2 at home or at work and whose grind adjustment no longer operates cleanly. Also for service workshops that want to bring a second-hand grinder back to a condition where you can trust it when dialling in. If you have a first-generation Faustino, you need the other knob – see below.
You will find the other parts for the grinder under Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts. For the older version we stock the Faustino grind adjustment knob. Also matching are the Faustino V2 bean hopper lid and the 50 mm burrs. It is worth taking a look at Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts if you need several small parts at once.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich: When we replace an adjustment wheel, we first note the current position on a strip of tape on the housing. The new wheel rarely sits at exactly the same offset, and with the note you get back in two turns instead of twenty. After that we grind two doses and throw them away before dialling in again. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. For fine-tuning we like to use a forgiving coffee: Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate. If you like it strong, go for Very Nutty. You will find all of them under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Part number R819907748 is assigned to the Faustino V2. For the older version we stock the Faustino grind adjustment knob. If you are unsure which generation you have, send us the serial number and we will check the fit.
The wheel itself does not adjust anything, it only transmits your turn. However, the scale may be offset once it is fitted. Expect to grind in once and find your setting again.
Material and dimensions are not documented for this number, so we make no claims about them. If you need dimensions to compare, get in touch – we will ask on your behalf.
The documents available to us do not show whether the wheel is clamped, screwed or push-fitted. Send us the serial number of your grinder and we will check it together before you pry anything open.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Just let us know beforehand and we will have the part ready for you.
