The Appartamento's foot – small, inconspicuous and surprisingly important
Four feet carry a machine that takes a knock every time you lock in the portafilter. On the Appartamento they are also the only spacer between the bottom of the housing and the surface it stands on – without them the machine sits flat, and the air no longer gets to where it belongs.
This foot is the original part for the Appartamento of the TCA generation. It is supplied individually. If you are replacing the whole set, order it four times.
When it is due
The foot is due when the machine wobbles even though the surface is level; when it moves while you tamp or lock in the portafilter; when the rubber has become hard, glassy or cracked; or when a foot has been flattened under the constant load and the machine is no longer level as a result. A stripped thread is also a clear case.
On the Appartamento, standing crooked has an additional consequence: the drip tray no longer drains completely, and water remains in the lower corner.

Who it is for
For anyone with an Appartamento that no longer stands steady, and for workshops refurbishing a used machine. The swap needs no special tools, just some space and a second person.
Important for installation
To replace it, disconnect the machine from the mains, let it cool down and remove the water tank, portafilter and drip tray. Only then lift it with two people or carefully lay it on its side. If you tip it with a full tank, residual water gets into the base, and that is where the electrics are.
What goes with it
The Rocket Appartamento spare parts section lists the other parts for this machine. For Giotto, Evoluzione R, R58 and R60V there is a differently designed two-piece foot. If you are under the machine anyway, it is worth taking a look at the drip tray of the Appartamento TCA.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
When an Appartamento wobbles, we first screw all four feet fully in and then unscrew the one short foot until nothing wobbles any more. Only if that is not enough do we replace it – often a foot is simply loose.

No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does this foot also fit an older Appartamento?
The number A059905755 is specified for the TCA generation. For older years of manufacture we cannot derive this from the documentation and therefore do not claim it. Send us the serial number and we will check.
What height and diameter does the foot have?
We do not have any dimensions. We only state what is documented, and here that is the part number and the machine.
Is the rubber available separately?
For this item, no separate rubber part is listed in the documentation. If you only need the rubber, drop us a short message and we will look into it.
Can I look at the part in a showroom?
Yes. Bring the removed part to our Showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we will compare it directly with the spare part and you can take it with you straight away.
