The Appartamento housing – when the internals still run but the bodywork has had enough
The Appartamento is not a machine you hide away. It sits on the kitchen counter, gets touched, moved, cleaned and relocated every few years. That is exactly why the housing is the part that ages first, while the boiler, pump and group are still working perfectly. A dent from a fall, a scratched base, a bent corner after transport – all of this can be fixed by replacing the housing as a whole.
This item is the version listed under the base number. The documentation gives no colour for it, so we do not state one here either. The version explicitly listed as black is available as a separate item. In neither case are the coloured side inserts included.
When it is time to replace it
A replacement is worthwhile when the machine is technically sound but no longer looks it: deep dents that cannot be knocked out; a worn-through or chipped surface; rust spots on the bottom edge where splash water collects; or bent edges, so that the front panel and side inserts no longer sit flush and the machine rattles during operation.

Who it is for
For workshops refurbishing a used Appartamento before resale, and for anyone whose machine runs perfectly after a mishap but has visibly suffered. An Appartamento with fresh bodywork and a completed service is, technically and visually, a new machine again – at a fraction of the price of a new one.
Important for installation
Behind the housing are mains voltage, the boiler and hot water under pressure. Replacing it means stripping the machine down to a large extent, and it belongs in the hands of a qualified technician. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions here. If you still want to do it yourself: switch off, unplug, let the machine cool down completely, release the pressure and empty the water tank before loosening the first screw. On request, we can do the replacement for you in Bern or Zurich.

Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
If the whole bodywork is coming off anyway, we do the service at the same time: gaskets, shower screen, filter. The work is done, the machine is open – opening it up a second time costs considerably more than ordering the parts along with it.

No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

What colour is this housing?
The documentation gives no colour for number A019905629. So we do not claim one. If you definitely want black, choose the item explicitly listed as black. If in doubt, drop us a short message and we will clarify it before you order.
Are the coloured side inserts included?
No. The panel inserts are separate items and are either transferred from the old housing or ordered separately.
Is the front panel included?
No. Front panel, cup tray, handles, logo and screws are separate parts.
Does the housing fit every Appartamento?
The documentation lists the Appartamento without restricting it to a particular generation. Because quite a few things have changed on this machine over the years, we are happy to check the fit using your serial number before you order.
Can I see the part in a showroom?
Yes. Bring the removed part to our showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we will compare it directly with the spare part so you can take it home straight away.
