Anyone who regularly draws hot water from a Mozzafiato or a Giotto knows the difference: an intact spout spreads the stream over many fine openings and fills the cup calmly. A scaled-up one shoots out a hard single jet that bounces off the side of the cup and hits half the counter.
The spout is a small, inexpensive part at the end of the hot water pipe – and it is the spot in the entire water circuit where scale becomes visible first, because it has the narrowest cross-sections.
A scaled-up spout is almost never a faulty spout. Unscrew it and leave it overnight in a descaler from our machine and grinder cleaning range, then rinse it thoroughly. In most cases the stream runs cleanly again afterwards. Only when openings stay blocked, the thread is worn or the part has been deformed is a replacement worthwhile.
The spout is replaced when the stream still runs crooked or individual openings stay blocked even after descaling; when it can no longer be tightened so that it seals; when it is deformed or cracked; or when water leaks out sideways at the screw connection during use, even though the gasket is new.
Rocket fits a different spout depending on the series. We stock these:
The most reliable way to find out which spout belongs on your machine is via the serial number. Write to us if you are unsure.

For everyone with a Mozzafiato or Giotto who makes tea or an Americano and is no longer happy with the stream. And for workshops that replace the small wear parts along the hot water circuit at the same time during an overhaul.
The spout sits on the hot water circuit. Before unscrewing it, the machine must be switched off, depressurised and cooled down – steam shoots out of a hot outlet the moment the screw connection is loosened. When tightening, feel matters, not force. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here, because the screw connection differs depending on the year of manufacture.
Every replacement should be preceded by descaling. The other parts for these machines are listed in the categories Rocket Mozzafiato spare parts and Rocket Giotto and Cellini spare parts. The counterpart on the steam side is the complete steam wand for the same machines.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
In our workshop, the hot water spout and the steam tip go into the descaling bath together at every service. Both have the narrowest cross-sections in the machine, both get forgotten – and both are as good as new again after one night.
And because no repair ends without a tasting here: afterwards an espresso with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty runs through the group. The full selection is in our coffee beans. This is our own workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The documentation lists Mozzafiato R and V and Giotto R and V. We cannot infer from this whether it fits older versions, so we do not claim it does. Send us the serial number and we will check.
Yes, and that is always the first step. Soaking it overnight in a descaler and rinsing it thoroughly solves most cases. Do not poke through it with a needle, as that widens the openings unevenly.
No. The scope of delivery is the complete spout. We will be happy to find out which gasket belongs with your series on request.
The number and size of the openings are not specified in the documentation, so we do not state them.
Yes. Bring the removed part to our showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we will compare it directly with the spare part so you can take it with you straight away.
