The side panel is the largest continuous surface of the machine, and so it is where you first see how the machine has been treated. A dent on the edge, a scratch from the portafilter, a spot where a cloth has hung for years – it all shows there.
This item is the stainless steel side panel of the R60 with the part number A010004659.
The panel is dented, scratched or pushed in at a corner.
The mounting points are torn out, so the panel sticks out or rattles.
After a water leak, marks have formed that can no longer be removed.

Behind the side panel are the boiler, lines and electrics. Only remove it when the machine is disconnected from the mains, depressurised and cooled down.
Whether the panel on this series is screwed on from the inside or the outside is not clear from the documentation. We therefore generally recommend installation by a qualified technician and do not provide step-by-step instructions.
At the end, the screws are tightened crosswise, first all by hand, then firmly one after the other. A panel tightened on one side only will warp and never sit cleanly again.
Eight items, sorted by machine, side and finish:
For businesses restoring the look of an R60, and for workshops after transport damage.
Also useful when the machine moves to a new location and a previously hidden side is suddenly in view.
For the same series we stock the stainless steel back panel, the complete steam valve, the complete water valve and the two-part foot. All parts for the series are listed under Spare parts Rocket R58 and R60, the entire service range under Service parts.
From our workshop
Before installation, we give a new stainless steel panel a thin layer of care oil and polish it dry, always in the direction of the grain. Afterwards, fingerprints are less noticeable and the first few weeks look noticeably better. This is our workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
Once the machine is back together, our first shot is pulled with Nutty Delight. More under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The documentation does not state a side for number A010004659. Before you order, please let us know which side you need and send us the serial number – we will then clarify it with the manufacturer.
No. The panel is supplied on its own.
Dimensions, sheet thickness and surface treatment are not stated in the documentation. We do not give any figures for them.
No, it is a housing panel. However, the boiler and electrics are behind it, so the replacement belongs in expert hands.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zürich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the serial number of your machine and we will check the fit together at the counter.
