Slim and light, a few even turns of the crank, and the grounds fall fine into the catch cup – the compact companion for life on the road.
The Rhinowares Hand Grinder is a compact hand grinder with a ceramic conical burr and stainless steel body – light, robust, and great for travel.
The ceramic conical burr cuts the beans evenly and lasts – ceramic stays dimensionally stable and never rusts. With it you grind for AeroPress, Pour-Over, French Press and filter.
The stainless steel body is slim and sturdy, light at around 260 grams and easy to carry at about 15 centimetres tall. The catch cup holds around 21 to 30 grams of beans; a carry bag is included. Grinding is done by hand, without power.
Our opinion is one of many.

For anyone looking for a light, compact hand grinder for life on the road – for AeroPress, Pour-Over and French Press.
The hand grinder grinds for every method: for the AeroPress, Pour-Over and French Press from our Filter Collection. For brewing by weight, a scale is the natural match – affordable and reliable from our Normcore Collection, with app and flow-rate display from our Acaia Collection. Want to compare more hand grinders: from affordable to high-quality, you'll find them in our Hand Grinders. Plus fresh espresso beans.
A ceramic conical burr – even and long-lasting, dimensionally stable and rust-free.
For AeroPress, Pour-Over, French Press and filter coffee. It's adjustable from fine to coarse.
Around 21 to 30 grams of beans – ideal for one to two cups.
That depends on whether the Rhinowares Hand Grinder is on display right now. Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – it is too large for that, and the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the Rhinowares Hand Grinder is currently there.
Ground by hand, fresh into the cup: for a round, chocolatey-nutty espresso, reach for Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, for maximum body without acidity, Very Nutty. If you're after a lighter, fruity profile for filter, try Wild Peach – work your way in with small steps. That's our recommendation, one of many.
