What the Flowcontrol does
The Flowcontrol kit replaces the upper part of the E61 group and controls the water flow directly at the brew head. By slowly opening the valve, you determine the pre-infusion and the flow rate during the shot. This allows you to experience manual flow profiling – a learning process, not just pushing a button. Pressure and flow shape the aromatic time window: different compounds dissolve at different times, and a gentle pre-infusion gives the puck time to saturate evenly.
