The hot water spout – so the stream runs straight and quiet again
At the end of the hot water outlet sits a spout. It breaks up the hard stream coming out of the pipe and spreads it across several fine openings. That is why tea water from a Rocket flows calmly into the cup instead of splashing and wetting half the counter.
But these many small openings are also exactly where limescale builds up first. A blocked spout makes itself known through a single sharp stream, water spraying out sideways or a whistling sound when you open the tap.
Descale first, then replace
A scaled-up spout is not a broken spout. Before you order a spare part, unscrew it and leave it overnight in a descaler from our Machine and grinder cleaning range. In the vast majority of cases the stream then runs like on the first day. Only if the openings are still blocked after descaling, the thread is damaged or the part has been deformed is replacement the right move – and then it really is necessary.
When it is due
The spout gets replaced if individual openings stay blocked after descaling and the stream runs crooked; if the thread is worn and it can no longer be tightened to seal; if it is deformed or cracked; or if water leaks out sideways at the screw connection when drawing hot water, even though the gasket is new.

Who it is for
For anyone who regularly draws water for tea or an Americano and is no longer happy with the stream, and for workshops refurbishing a machine. A fresh spout is one of the cheapest parts with the most immediate effect in everyday use.
Important for installation
The spout sits on the hot water path. Before unscrewing it, the machine must be switched off, depressurised and cooled down – when you loosen the screw connection on a hot outlet, steam comes out all at once. When tightening, feel matters more than force: the thread is fine and the material soft. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here, because the screw connection is designed differently depending on the model series.
What goes with it
Every replacement should be preceded by descaling. We carry the matching Hot water pipe complete as a separate item. Everything else can be found in Rocket accessories and spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
We take the hot water spout off at every service and put it in the same descaling bath as the steam tip. It costs nothing, takes one night and saves two thirds of all spouts from being replaced.

No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Which Rocket models does this spout fit?
The documentation lists it as a spout for the home machines without naming a list of models. That is why we do not give one. For Mozzafiato and Giotto as well as for R58 and R60 we carry separate items. Send us the serial number and we will narrow it down.
Can I clean the spout instead of replacing it?
Yes, and that is always the first step. Leaving it overnight in a descaler and rinsing it thoroughly solves most cases. Do not poke through it with a needle, as that widens the openings in an uncontrolled way.
Is a gasket included?
No. The scope of delivery is the complete spout. We will be happy to look up which gasket belongs to your model series on request.
What thread size does the spout have?
We do not have any thread specification. We only state what is in the documentation, and here that is the part number.
Can I look at the part in a showroom?
Yes. Bring the removed part to our showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we will compare it directly with the spare part and you can take it with you straight away.
