Olympia Express Assembly Aid Piston for Cremina SL – Service Tool from Schwanden
The official Olympia service tool for installing and removing the piston in the Cremina SL pressure spring brew group. If you service your SL yourself or completely overhaul the brew group, you need this tool – the pressure spring in the SL brew head does not allow for simple service without a special device. Original part from Schwanden GL.
What makes this assembly aid special
Tool for the SL pressure spring brew group
The Cremina SL has a pressure spring in its brew group, which ensures constant brewing pressure. It is precisely this spring that makes servicing more complex than with the classic Cremina – without special tools, the piston cannot be removed cleanly and safely. The assembly aid holds the piston in position and neutralizes the spring force during service.
Power User Tool
In all honesty: this is not a tool for every SL owner. If you give your machine to Olympia or an authorized service partner, you don't need it. However, if you do the maintenance yourself – as a technically savvy power user or service technician – you cannot do without this tool.
Original tool from the Olympia factory
Manufactured in the same factory that also builds the Cremina SL. The tolerances are matched to the SL brew group; other tools cannot guarantee that the spring will be properly secured.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the assembly aid for every SL service?
Only if you are removing or installing the piston. It is not sufficient for simply changing seals on the outside – you need it for internal work on the pressure spring mechanism.
Is self-service of the SL realistic without prior experience?
Honestly: no, not without prior experience with espresso machine service. The pressure spring is a safety-relevant component. If you're trying it for the first time: bring your SL to our showroom or to Olympia in Schwanden, watch, and learn the workflow.
Where can I buy the tool or see it live?
Online via coffeecoachingclub.ch with delivery in 2–4 working days throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. On-site in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44, 3011 Bern) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b, 8050 Zurich). Click and Collect possible. Financing possible.
Roastery Tip
Anyone who orders this tool usually already knows what they're doing. For everyone else, an honest recommendation: make a service appointment in our showrooms or directly at Olympia in Schwanden – the SL brew group is one of the most beautiful pieces of Swiss engineering, and it deserves clean hands during service. Our opinion, one of many.
