The Puck Saver is designed to protect your pucks from poor espresso machine flow that can cause puck erosion, and to keep your machine's dispersing screen cleaner after each use. It does the latter by acting as an intermediate layer that you can clean in the sink after you've knocked out your puck. Made from 58mm 316L stainless steel with 200 micron holes. We sell in packs of 2, 5 and 10, and one is included free with all Unibasket and Unifilter purchases.
Why a puck saver?
Puck screens, disks and savers have developed a large following in recent years, and for good reason. They can help buffer higher velocity water coming out of a brew head's dispersion screen, which tends to erode the top of a puck and potentially cause channeling. They also make a great intermediate layer to keep your dispersion screen cleaner. The saver is also easier to clean than the puck screen (a power supply), which is great if you're not trying to alter the headspace above your puck.
