The body is built wider and lower than a classic jug. This keeps the whirlpool tighter while frothing, so air and milk combine evenly – the basis for dense, silky microfoam. The milk's proteins stabilise the fine bubbles, the fat gives the foam its density.
The eponymous spout – internally called the crocodile shape – with its double-curved guide grooves shapes the stream so that the lines stand out more clearly.
