A guided coffee tasting at our showrooms in Bern and Zurich, led by Yalcin Akpinar, co-founder of Coffee Coaching Club and flavour expert. Bookable for 1 to 18 people: on your own, as a pair, with friends or as a team event for companies.
Coffee contains more than 800 aroma compounds. Which of them reach the cup depends on origin, roasting and preparation – and that is exactly what the tasting makes tangible. We work with the espresso machines and grinders in use at the respective showroom.

It starts with a short introduction to origin, cultivation and roasting, and to the machines in the showroom. Then comes the guided tasting: different coffees and preparations side by side, naming aromas from fruity to nutty-chocolatey and understanding how roast level, origin and preparation shape the flavour.
At the end there is time for questions and an exchange with Yalcin, and for teams also for a shared reflection.
The format is interactive: the team tastes together, describes aromas and compares impressions. No prior knowledge is needed. Because the tasting is held in German or English, it also suits mixed-language teams. 5 to 18 people is ideal.
For everyone who wants to taste coffee more consciously – solo, as a pair, in a group or as a team. The tasting also works as a gift. If you would rather stand at the machine and make espresso yourself, you will find the private barista course and other formats among our workshops and team events.
And if you are thinking about your own espresso machine after the tasting: our online comparison of coffee machines and grinders gives you a first overview.
For 1 to 18 people. The price applies to the whole group and is tiered by group size; you will see the total price as soon as you select the group size. As a team event, 5 to 18 people is ideal.
In Bern on Mondays at Gerberngasse 44, with a workshop start between 10 am and 4 pm. In Zurich Oerlikon from Tuesday to Friday at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, with a workshop start between 10 am and 3 pm. We arrange the date individually with you.
Yes. The team tastes together, describes aromas and compares impressions; no prior knowledge is needed. It is held in German or English. You can clarify your team’s requests in advance by email to [email protected] – we tailor the tasting individually to your team.
Tip from the roastery: To trace the differences at home, prepare two coffees with the same recipe and taste them side by side – for example Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight from our coffee roastery in Zurich. That is our recommendation, one of many.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
