Flanged bushing 12 x 16 x 11,5 mm for the LEVA – the second size in the lever mechanism
The lever mechanism of a LEVA has several bearing points, and they look confusingly similar. This flanged bushing is the version with a 16 millimetre outer diameter. Two millimetres more than its sister – and still they cannot replace one another. Anyone who mixes them up during reassembly will notice at the latest when nothing sits free of play any more.
Bore 12 millimetres, outer diameter 16 millimetres, length 11,5 millimetres. The manufacturer lists this item for the LEVA under the part number F.1.076. One bushing is supplied.
When it is due
The shaft in this bearing point has play or moves sideways. A rattling or cracking sound can be heard with every lever movement. The movement feels jerky. Or the removed bushing shows an oval bore, scoring or a worn collar.

Important for installation
As with all bearing points of the lever mechanism: pressurised group, preloaded spring, hot environment. That is why we do not provide installation instructions. The machine must be disconnected from the power supply, depressurised and cooled down, the spring force released, and the bushing must not tilt when it is pressed in. A specialist does this safely in half an hour – we are happy to do it in Bern or Zurich.

Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: we measure every bushing with a calliper before installation, even if the bag is labelled correctly. With two sizes that differ by two millimetres, this takes ten seconds and saves a second disassembly. Then we pull a test shot, preferably with Nutty Delight. Sweeter with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty. Everything else in our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
