Over hours, the cold water slowly passes through the grounds, travels through the curved glass tubes, and collects drop by drop in the two flasks. You can watch the entire process from beginning to end.
Cold Drip is the most patient way to extract coffee. Because cold water is used instead of hot, bitter substances and acids hardly dissolve, resulting in a sweet, full-bodied, very clear coffee. The Water Dripper Wood is built for this – and stands as a showpiece on a counter or table, giving as much pleasure to the eye as it does to the palate.
Over about five hours, the tower extracts up to 2000 ml of coffee into two flasks, enough for about 20 cups. You set the drip rate on the two taps, ideally around one drop per second. The slower it drips, the more intense the extraction.
The bowls, pitcher, and glass tubes are made of heat-resistant glass, filters, taps, and lid are made of stainless steel, and the frame is made of natural wood. The metal filter allows natural coffee oils to pass through, giving the cold brew a fuller, almost creamy texture. Paper filters are included. Made in Japan.
Standing almost a meter tall with its delicate glass tubes, the Water Dripper Wood is an eye-catcher – in a cafe as an open show preparation, at home as a centerpiece on the table.

For cafes and restaurants that want to prepare Cold Brew visibly and as an experience, and for everyone at home who understands patience as part of enjoyment and appreciates a piece of craftsmanship on their table. If you're looking for fast cold brew, you'd be better served with the Mizudashi pot or the Water Dripper Clear – the Wood is the slow, grand gesture.
Cold Drip works best with a medium to slightly coarse, even grind – electrically from our coffee grinders or by hand from the hand grinders. You can find the rest of the cold world in our Hario Collection. And for the coffee itself: a full-bodied, chocolatey roasted coffee like Cozy Chocolate comes out particularly well-rounded in Cold Drip.
About five hours. During this time, the cold water slowly drips through the coffee bed and extracts up to 2000 ml into the two flasks.
Up to 2000 ml, so about 20 cups per run.
Sweeter, fuller-bodied, and significantly less acidic than hot brewed coffee. Since cold water dissolves few bitter substances, a very clear, rounded taste remains.
A medium to slightly coarse, as even as possible grind. Too fine will clog the bed and slow the drip rate too much.

From our roastery: A sweet, full-bodied coffee shines most in Cold Drip. Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are our recommendations for the vast majority, Very Nutty for maximum body without acidity, and Wild Peach for those who want to discover a fruity-bright experience. This is one of many recommendations.
