Weber Workshops The Bird Extraction redefined
Introducing Weber's first coffee maker: The BIRD™.
Its unique design sets it apart from espresso, French press, or pour-over methods, creating something entirely its own: a rich and complex coffee, brewed in an elegant, innovative machine with minimal effort. The BIRD stands for "Brew In Reverse Direction" and is the first bypass-free brewer to produce piston-driven vacuum brews in a glass vessel. The BIRD is a completely new platform for baristas and coffee lovers to explore uncharted territory in brewing, both at home and in cafés.
Meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful material selection combine to create the following:
Brewing up to 350 ml without bypass
Patent-pending brewing mechanism
Thick and robust borosilicate glass
Brewing capsule made of 316 stainless steel
Drive shaft made of stainless steel 304
Wing nut mechanism made of solid brass
Easy disassembly for cleaning
No-bypass brewing has long been the preferred method among coffee lovers. The BIRD's no-bypass turbocharger, with its precise, user-controlled vacuum pressure, gives the barista complete control over extraction while allowing for a much finer grind than typical pour-over brewers. The BIRD is a platform for everything from quick brews to overnight cold brews. We'll be sharing our own recipes, as well as those of several industry-leading coffee experts we collaborated with throughout the development process.

cleaning
We believe that a good product is a clean product. Easy cleaning is fundamental for improving coffee quality and the hygiene of your worktop.
All BIRD parts can be disassembled and rinsed in seconds. The drip tray provides the barista with a temporary holding area for the pod after brewing, allowing you to get straight to your coffee without any residue left behind. This also allows the coffee puck to cool before handling, making the whole process more pleasant.
Please use only soap and dish soap for the BIRD. As it is a precision instrument, it is not dishwasher safe.
