Bushing 6 x 8 x 13,8 mm – the part that turns friction into guidance
A plain bushing is a small sleeve that sits between an axle and its seat. It takes the wear on itself so that the more expensive surrounding parts stay intact. As long as it does its job, the movement runs quietly and without play. Once it is worn, you hear a rattle and feel free travel that nobody knew before.
This bushing has a bore of 6 millimetres, an outer diameter of 8 millimetres and a length of 13,8 millimetres. The manufacturer lists it under part number F.1.083. One bushing is supplied, without axle and without retaining elements.
When it is due
The guided movement has play or rattles. It scratches or squeaks when moving. The axle no longer runs centred but grinds on one side. Or the removed bushing shows an oval bore, scoring or worn end faces.

Important for installation
The bushing sits inside the machine, where you work next to pressurised lines and live components. That is why we do not give step-by-step instructions: the machine has to be disconnected from the power, depressurised and cooled down, and the bushing must not tilt when it is pressed in. This is workshop work.
Who it is for
For service technicians who repair a bearing point instead of replacing an entire assembly. And for workshops that keep plain bushings in small quantities, because a part like this makes the difference between one and two service visits.
What goes with it
You will find more small parts in Accessories and spare parts for La Marzocco and under Original spare parts. Parts for the lever machine are available in Spare parts for La Marzocco LEVA. If the machine is open anyway, it is the moment for machine and grinder cleaning too.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: we always replace bushings in pairs when two of them guide one axle. Otherwise a new and a worn bushing result in misalignment, and then the new one is worn out within six months as well. After every installation we pull a test shot with Nutty Delight. Sweeter with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty. Everything else in our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of the bushing?
Bore 6 millimetres, outer diameter 8 millimetres, length 13,8 millimetres. Part number F.1.083.
How many bushings are included?
One. If you need two, order the corresponding quantity – for axles with two bearing points we recommend this anyway.
Which machine does it fit?
It is listed as manufacturer position F.1.083 and is used in several assemblies. Send us the model and serial number and we will check it in advance.
Can I press it in myself?
We recommend a specialist. If the bushing tilts when it is pressed in, it is immediately unusable and the bearing point can be damaged.
Can I look at the part in your showroom?
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know shortly beforehand and we will have the part ready.
