Varia ORBI PRO Dock – the scale dock that turns your ORBI into an ORBI PRO
The Varia ORBI PRO Dock turns the ORBI into an ORBI PRO: a second scale in the base, measuring in 0.01 g increments, USB-C cable included.
The ORBI goes into the dock, and the portable brewer becomes a brewing station for the kitchen. The dock comes in the same colours as the ORBI: Black, White, Silver, Sand, Ruby and Forest.
A recipe is a starting point. The more clearly you see what happens during the brew, the more precisely you can refine it. Varia built the ORBI PRO Dock for this routine at home.

The dock scale in the system
The PRO Dock pairs its base scale with the scale integrated into the ORBI cup. With two scales, you see the input and output of a brew at the same time. This helps you review and refine recipes. Both scales measure in 0.01 g increments.
The details in everyday use
Set up the dock with the compatible ORBI according to the instructions. Follow the recipe, review the measurements and change one variable before the next brew. We work by weight, not by time. We grind fine, start at 14.5 g and work our way up, usually to 17 g, at a ratio below 1:2. Our opinion is one of many.
USB-C charging and power button
The base has the USB-C port for charging and the power button. The USB-C cable is included.

For anyone who has or is ordering a Varia ORBI and wants to measure more at home. A good fit if the ORBI sits on the kitchen counter during the week and comes along on trips at the weekend. Is the ORBI included?
No. The box contains the ORBI PRO Dock and a USB-C cable. The ORBI brewer is not included.
What is the second scale for?
The scale in the dock base works together with the scale in the ORBI cup. That way you see the input and output of a brew at the same time, each in 0.01 g increments.
Does it turn my ORBI into an ORBI PRO?
Yes, the dock expands the ORBI into the two-scale setup that the ORBI PRO has. Varia describes it as an accessory for the ORBI.
