Varia STEEP Cold Brew Bottle – Cold Brewer with a Closed Basket
Add water and ground coffee in the evening, place it in the fridge, and by morning your Cold Brew is ready – smooth, round, without any bitter edges. Overnight, the mild, sweet compounds dissolve while the sharper ones largely stay behind.
Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Varia.
What makes the STEEP Bottle special
The closed basket system keeps the ground coffee neatly separated: water flows out through the spout without ever needing to remove the basket, and you can taste along the way to steer the concentration to your liking. The bottle is made from borosilicate glass, BPA-free plastic, and silicone. With a 750 ml brew volume and a 60 g basket, it's enough for several cups, and at 297 mm tall with an 80 mm diameter, it slides slim into the fridge door.

What Goes With It
For Cold Brew, you grind coarse – a grinder from the Coffee Grinders Collection or the Varia Collection delivers the consistency you need. For weighing, a scale from Normcore or Acaia, plus beans from our coffee roastery.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Cold Brew need to steep?
12 to 18 hours in the fridge is typical. Shorter gives you a lighter brew, longer a stronger one – and since you can taste along the way, you'll find your own sweet spot.
Which grind size works best?
Coarse, similar to French Press. Ground too fine, the brew can turn cloudy and over-extracted.
How much coffee fits in the basket?
Up to 60 g. A good starting point is around 60 g to 750 ml, then adjust to taste.
Do I need to remove the basket to pour?
No. Thanks to the closed basket system, you pour straight out and the basket stays in place.
Roastery Tip
Cold Brew forgives a lot and highlights sweetness and body. Our Nutty Delight comes across nutty and smooth, while the Cozy Chocolate brings a rich chocolate note. If you like it livelier, give the Wild Peach a try – surprisingly fruity as a Cold Brew. That's our recommendation, one of many.
